The Heart Behind This Space…
Here we go
There’s something sacred about the moments we don’t post, the quiet pauses, the long prayers, the messy mornings that somehow turn holy.
For me, With Open Hands isn’t just a title. It’s a posture I’m learning to live in.
As a wife, a mother, a woman of faith, there are so many things I want to hold tightly. Control, plans, expectations, timing. But God has been gently teaching me to release them. Not with fear, but with trust. Not with resentment, but with grace.
One morning, coffee in hand and toddler at my feet, I whispered, “Lord, I want to do this well—but I can’t do it all.”
And in that quiet, I sensed Him say, “You were never meant to.”
That’s what this space is about.
It’s where I’ll share little stories from my life that God uses to teach me big truths—about surrender, about stillness, about walking by faith when the path is unclear.
Every post won’t be polished.
Some might be written from the kitchen table, others from the heart of a hard moment. But they’ll all come from a place of honesty, and hopefully, they’ll remind you (as they remind me) that God is near, and He is faithful.
So here it is, my offering, with open hands.
If you’re reading this, welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
Love,
Darlene
